01Roads & Infrastructure

Roads, and everything that holds them together.

Road construction, resurfacing, widening and the drainage, kerb and footpath works that go with them.

Introduction

Roadwork is rarely only the carriageway. Subgrade preparation, drainage, kerbs, footpaths and reinstatement all decide how long a surface lasts, and all of them sit inside Dulsom's scope.

Work is planned around traffic, access and weather, with the sequence agreed before mobilisation so that sections open again on schedule.

03Execution approach

How Dulsom runs it.

Ground first

Subgrade condition, levels and existing services are checked before the surface build-up is confirmed. Weak ground is corrected rather than covered.

Drainage before surface

Falls, side drains and outfalls are set out early. Standing water is the most common reason a road fails ahead of its design life.

Staged handback

Sections are sequenced so traffic and access are maintained, with barricading, diversion signage and clear working hours.
